By registering or using Lumina, you accept these terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should use the service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Continued use of the service after we publish or notify you of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Lumina is an online platform for preparation for university entrance exams. The service includes: timed mock exams, practice tests, and diagnostics; a standardized entrance exam question bank; AI-generated question variations; an AI tutor that provides step-by-step help per question; a personal AI coach that recommends exams and guides your study plan; AI-generated explanations for questions; flashcards with spaced repetition; a custom exam builder so you can create exams by subject, difficulty, and filters; full attempt history and progress tracking; IRT-based score estimates; and detailed analytics by subject. Lumina is an educational tool and does not replace formal schooling or official preparation for any exam. We do not guarantee any particular result on any entrance exam.

To use certain features you must register with your name, email address, and a password. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep your registration data up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

You agree to use Lumina only for lawful, educational purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not: use automated systems (e.g. bots or scrapers) to access the service without our permission; impersonate another person or entity; abuse or overload our systems, including our AI features; attempt to circumvent security or access controls; manipulate results or data; or use the service in any way that could harm Lumina, other users, or third parties. We may suspend or terminate access for conduct we reasonably believe violates these terms.

Lumina and its content (including but not limited to the platform, design, questions, and materials) are owned by Lumina or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You do not acquire any ownership rights by using the service. Content generated by the AI (e.g. explanations, question variations, flashcards) is made available to you for your personal, non-commercial use within the service. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit such content outside the platform without our prior written consent.

Lumina uses artificial intelligence to provide the tutor, the coach, question variations, explanations, and flashcards. This content is for educational support only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose. You are responsible for your own study and for verifying important information. Use of AI features is subject to any usage limits we may apply.

Your use of Lumina is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

The service may be offered free of charge in its current form. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans or features in the future. We will inform you of any material change to pricing or access before it takes effect.

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the service at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or for operational or legal reasons. You may close your account at any time from your profile or account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, as set out in our Privacy Policy.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, to the extent permitted by law. Lumina is an educational aid; we do not guarantee that using the platform will result in any particular score or outcome on any entrance exam. Content may contain errors; we are not liable for decisions you make based on the information provided through the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lumina and its affiliates, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. Our total liability for any claims arising from these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or, if no payment was made, zero). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in such cases, the above may not apply to you.

We may modify these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on the platform and/or by sending you an email or in-product notice. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised accordingly. Your continued use of the service after the effective date of the changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service and may close your account.

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Colombia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these terms or the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Colombia, unless otherwise required by mandatory law in your place of residence.
